|
Features |
| Security
is a key element in these types of devices. The 7903 is based on a
processor designed with security applications in mind. This processor
has the following attributes: |
|
|
128K of on Chip Memory |
4K of on Chip Key Storage |
Addressing capability of up to 16M of external memory |
Physical/logical separation of security and AP memory |
| |
| The
large external memory capability will allow storage to support multiple
device resident applications, handling multiple card protocols concurrently.
The device has intrusion detection, which when triggered makes the
unit inoperative. A privacy shield is part of the packaging, reducing
the risk of PIN compromise during user entry. |
|
| Included
in the product is code to perform security functions in compliance
with: |
ANSI X9.8 and IBM3624 PIN Block Processing |
ANSI X9.17 and X9.24 for Key Management
(including UKPT and DUKPT) |
ANSI X9.19 for MACing |
Local PIN Offset Generation |
Local PIN Verification |
